I heard about Karma Kafe many years ago, but I didn’t have a chance to go there until recently. Its location is perfect, in Souk al Bahar Dubai Mall, overlooking the amazing fountains.
It is a chic and stylish place, where you can have a relaxed dining experience, or just sit and have a drink in their bar & lounge while nibbling on delicious Asian bites.
Here’s a small extract from www.karma-kafe.com:
“Karma Kafé by Raymond Visan, the creator of internationally renowned Buddha-Bar, is an award winning pan-Asian restaurant and lounge located in the heart of Downtown Dubai.
Offering a fusion of pan-Asian and International flavors, as well as opulent surroundings and eclectic beats, Karma Kafé is a unique dining and nightlife destination.”
Unbelievably delicious, melt-in-your-mouth salmon sashimi, the best I’ve tasted in a while. A bit overpriced but totally worth it.
Maki Rolls: Philadelphia
(Smoked Salmon, Cucumber, Spring Onion, Avocado, Cream Cheese & Dill)
Philadelphia rolls can sometimes have an overpowering taste of cream cheese, but these ones don’t, they are simple & good.
Signature Rolls: Salmon Passion
(Spicy Salmon, Blowtorched Salmon, Asparagus, Red Onion, Avocado, Pineapple Salsa & Spicy Aioli)
An explosion of fresh and delicious flavors.
Small Dishes: Shrimp Tempura
(Shrimp, Chive, Spring Onion, Sesame Seed & Peanut Butter Chili Sauce)
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, everything you’d expect from a tempura dish. Not spicy and flavorful.
Wok & Side Dish: Chicken Cashew Nuts (Chili Flakes, Thai Basil) & Egg Fried Rice
The Chicken was good but I honestly had better. The rice was just okay.
The service was good and fast, although people who arrived after us were attended to first, and they were handled hot towels while we weren’t.
Overall Experience at Karma Kafe:
In General, Karma Kafe can suit everybody’s taste because of the variety on the menu, the great atmosphere, and amazing view.
